  • Certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Logistics Operations
  • Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics(Road Transport)

    These certificates are suitable for drivers and loaders

Some examples of units that can be covered within the program include:

  • Follow Occupational Health and Safety Procedures – this unit fulfils the requirements of site induction and is  very important that all staff undertake a formal induction process to a site or operations under various Occupational Health and Safety legislation in all states
  • Conducting Housekeeping Activities – which covers the importance of good housekeeping skills in reducing the risk of accidents and injuries.
  • Applying accident and emergency procedures – a units that deals with the procedures to take in the case of an accident or emergency.
  • Coordinating breakdowns and emergencies – which outlines how to safely manage a vehicle breakdown scenario or a vehicle emergency situation.
  • Applying fatigue management strategies – an area of particular importance for vehicle drivers and required by organisations accredited under the NHVAS Fatigue regime. The unit coves how to identify and recognise signs of fatigue and also the techniques to successfully manage fatigue.
  • Planning and navigating routes – outlines how to accurately plan, prepare and navigate a driver’s drop-load to ensure that the safest and most efficient route available is utilised.
  • Carrying out vehicle inspection – deals with the pre-departure safety checks that a driver is required to perform on their vehicles, including how to identify unsafe vehicles and unacceptable risks and also the reporting processes to follow should work equipment be damaged.
  • Safe vehicle driving - this important unit of training covers safe driving and defensive driving techniques, awareness on the road and general road safety.
  • Modules include Training required to take driving licences from Car to B Doubles
